Kathak
Structured Kathak training focused on foundational footwork (Tatkaar), body alignment, chakkars, hastak techniques, rhythmic understanding, abhinaya, repertoire training, and performance-oriented learning from beginner to advanced levels. Training includes systematic development in tukdas, tihais, todas, paran, amad, gat nikas, gat bhav, thaat, ladi, and layakari, with emphasis on technical precision.
Students are guided with exposure to both the Jaipur Gharana and Lucknow Gharana styles - balancing the rhythmic complexity and powerful footwork of the Jaipur tradition with the grace, abhinaya, and nazakat characteristic of the Lucknow tradition.
The training program emphasizes tala mastery, improvisational understanding, stage presentation, repertoire building, and classical performance preparation, along with opportunities for examinations, competitions, cultural presentations, and online performance platforms.
Classes are currently conducted exclusively in online format through both group and 1:1 sessions, enabling students across locations to pursue structured Kathak training with flexibility, personalised guidance, and performance-oriented mentorship. Open to children, teenagers, and adult learners with no upper age limit for learning.
